Selkirk Waterway + Galloping Goose Beach Cleanup (Ages 15-29)

February 11 @ 11:00 am 1:00 pm

Join us for our first ‘Hold on to your Butt’ Cleanup of the year, being held by the Surfrider Foundation South Vancouver Island! We will be doing a shoreline cleanup as well as a focus on cigarette butts along the Galloping Goose walking path. All the debris is sorted, recycled and disposed of properly by our fabulous partners at Atlas Junk Removal.

Please fill out the waiver here: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/e/4khJAg7N6V7Tkv5F7hXj8Z/

What you need to know:

  • We have a limited amount of reusable gloves, buckets, and bags for volunteers to use on a first come, first served basis. We always encourage you to bring your own if you have!
  • We clean rain or shine, so please dress for the weather!
  • With the help of our fabulous partners, we usually have coffee/hot chocolate and snacks provided. Please bring your own mug if you’d like to enjoy!
  • Avoid the line and help us get started on time by signing the waiver here ahead of time.

Surfrider Foundation South Vancouver Island is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the ocean, beaches, and waves, for all people, through a powerful activist network. Volunteering at the monthly cleanups is the best way to help raise public awareness of the increasing amount of marine debris on our BC coast.
