DESCRIPTION:Join Volunteer Victoria & the CRD to learn more about Watersheds. This is a field trip that will leave Victoria\, and head up towards Shawnigan. We will be on a bus\, and snacks will be provided. We will have the opportunity to get off the bus and walk around while having hands-on learning opportunities.

DESCRIPTION:Join marine biologist Amanda Swinimer to discover local seaweed species and learn about their edibility\, health properties. \n\n\n\nAlthough Amanda loves being out in the ocean among the kelp\, she is equally passionate about teaching people about our local seaweeds and the enormous health benefits they possess. Amanda has years of experience teaching to a very diverse audience. She has taught in both elementary and high schools\, at the University of Victoria\, Royal Roads University\, Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre and to private groups.
