Dear Kim, Sharon and Terry,
Thanks so much for attending our session with Judy. I'm glad you got so much out of it. See you again at a future Volunteer Victoria workshop!

I am continually amazed by the energy, passion and resilience of the individuals in our community. In spite of substantial funding cuts, these people are leading their organizations to find creative ways to overcome barriers and continue providing the services others depend on us to provide.
And, I am continually amazed by the generosity of the individuals and companies who support us again and again. Well done, Judy, for teaching us to learn from our current funders by engaging them as sources of information.

Taking the drive down from Campbell River to attend the Fundraising in Challenging Economic Times was well worth the time and effort involved. Not only did it reiterate the method we have found to work the best, she spoke of concepts we hadn't really considered. Add to that the fact that the information she had was current and Canadian based made a massive difference as opposed to other similar workshops that I have attended. This was a superb workshop, I will be keeping an eye out for other workshops that Volunteer Victoria will be putting on.

We were at Judy's workshop. Her point of "don't fund-raise with 'bake-sales'" reinforced our belief of making your efforts pay.
The next point was "if you don't ask, you will not receive". We recently did a mail-out campaign. Donations have been coming in ranging from $25 to $100, with several at $1000.00 and one of $5000.00. The large ones came from totally unexpected sources. Blew us completely away, but we know where our future efforts will be focused. And our fundraiser WAS WORTH IT!.
